The Challenge & Project needs

AcusMed’s rapid growth created increasing hiring demand across key business functions. However, the company faced a significant structural challenge – its headquarters is located in Kolbuszowa, a smaller town with a limited local talent pool, making access to experienced specialists naturally constrained.

At the same time, the initial expectation of 100% on-site work further narrowed the candidate market. For highly qualified professionals based in larger cities such as Kraków, daily long-distance commuting or relocation to a smaller location was rarely a practical option.

The challenge was therefore twofold: expanding access to high-quality talent beyond geographical limits while redefining the hiring model to better match market realities and candidate expectations.

Key Placements: From C-Level to International Specialists

Over the course of the partnership, we successfully filled 5 roles. This showed that our approach works well not only for IT positions, but also for e-commerce and operational roles.

Some of the key hires included:

  • Foreign Markets Manager (Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia)
    This was one of the more complex roles. The client was looking for one person to manage three different markets. Based on our analysis, we suggested splitting this into two separate roles (Romania and Czech/Slovak markets), but the client decided to keep the original scope.
    Even with these expectations, we found a qualified candidate in Warsaw within four weeks who was willing to relocate to the Podkarpacie region. This person was able to quickly start building the company’s presence in Romania.
  • Chief Operating Officer (COO)
    A key leadership role that helped bring more structure and stability to a fast-growing organization.
  • Digital and Sales roles
    We also filled positions such as an SEO Specialist and a Sales Representative.

Our methodology revolves around transparency and providing comprehensive support throughout the recruitment journey, commencing with a diagnosis and counseling phase to refine the job candidate’s requirements.

An aspect we pay particular attention to is our in-depth understanding of the company’s culture and identification of challenges, allowing us to recruit individuals who fit not only in terms of technical skills but also cultural aspects. Ultimately, finding a candidate who not only met financial expectations but also fit perfectly with the company’s unique culture, proved to be a key element of recruitment success

Channels & Sources

We use a diverse range of sources to reach the best talent in the Polish market and establish long-term relationships with them. As a result, our talent base is constantly growing with proven and trustworthy professionals.

As part of our holistic recruitment process, we actively use various channels, including both active and passive searches for candidates. We post our position announcements on well-known job boards, in groups on the social networking platforms, and use our list of groups that developers often hang out in. In addition, we use our internal talent pool and sometimes reach out for support from search partners.

For this recruitment process, we have focused on four key channels:  job boards, Facebook groups for specialists, Linkedin (sourcing), Relout’s Talent Pool, and external partners.

Result and Outcome

The collaboration didn’t just help fill open roles – it also changed how AcusMed approaches hiring. The company became more open to looking for the right people regardless of location, instead of limiting themselves to the local market.

This way of working also got attention from other companies in the region. As a result, we received two referrals from businesses facing similar challenges related to location and growth.

By taking over the recruitment process and supporting the client with practical, market-based advice, we helped AcusMed continue growing without being held back by hiring constraints.
