Customer Profile

Beryboo.ai is a fast-growing AI technology founded in 2023. Company focused on building intelligent automation solutions that help businesses streamline operations, improve decision-making, and unlock productivity at scale. The company develops proprietary AI-driven tools designed to support workflow automation, data analysis, and customer engagement through advanced machine learning and conversational interfaces.

Berryboo is a SaaS startup . The platform is designed for e-commerce companies and focuses on pricing analytics and automation.
The idea behind the product is to combine internal store data with external market data and use it to support pricing decisions. In practice, this means helping companies understand:

  • whether they are selling products too cheaply,
  • whether their prices are too high compared to competitors,
  • and how pricing impacts sales performance.

The goal is to directly improve revenue across different categories and markets.

From a technical perspective, the platform processes large amounts of data, with web scraping (e.g. from other stores and platforms) being one of the key challenges.

Collaboration with Relout

The collaboration started around October 2024.

At that time, the product had already gone through its beta phase, and the founders had secured initial interest and funding. As a result, the focus shifted towards scaling, both in terms of product development and team size.

This created a clear need to build out the engineering team relatively quickly.

The cooperation with Relout was based on a standard agency model, meaning recruitment for direct employment within Beryboo (not outsourcing).

In total, the collaboration covered 5 roles, including:

  • Mid Python Developer (with Playwright)
  • Senior Python Developer
  • Full Stack Developer
  • additional Mid-level Python roles

The first role we started with was a Mid Python Developer with Playwright experience.

The challenges

As Beryboo.ai prepared to scale its product and technology capabilities, the company faced several structural recruitment challenges typical for early-stage startups — but intensified by limited hiring experience and a highly competitive talent market.

First, the company’s early growth had been built largely through relationship-based hiring, leveraging personal networks and referrals. Over time, this channel became exhausted, forcing the business to enter the open market and compete for highly skilled candidates. The challenge was not only sourcing talent, but convincing external candidates to become foundational hires and take ownership within a young organization, often as one of the first key technical team members.

Second, cultural alignment was critical. This was not simply a replacement hire — it required defining the role properly, understanding founder expectations, and shaping a compelling startup narrative around vision, ownership, and long-term opportunity. RELOUT supported the client through advisory sessions, coaching, and role calibration to ensure hiring strategy aligned with company culture and growth direction.

Third, attracting senior candidates at a pre-revenue / pre-seed stage required a highly empathetic recruitment approach. Compensation packages alone were not enough; candidates needed clarity around mission, upside potential, leadership quality, and career impact. Positioning the opportunity effectively became as important as candidate sourcing itself.

Finally, commercial flexibility in the recruitment model was equally important. To reduce hiring risk for the client, RELOUT introduced a more founder-friendly partnership structure, including flexible payment terms, deferred fees, and extended replacement guarantees, creating confidence in the hiring process at a crucial growth stage.

Channels & Sources

We use a diverse range of sources to reach the best talent in the Polish market and establish long-term relationships with them. As a result, our talent base is constantly growing with proven and trustworthy professionals.

As part of our holistic recruitment process, we actively use various channels, including both active and passive searches for candidates. We post our position announcements on well-known job boards, in groups on the social networking platforms, and use our list of groups that developers often hang out in. In addition, we use our internal talent pool and sometimes reach out for support from search partners.

For this recruitment process, we have focused on four key channels: IT job boards, Facebook groups for developers, Linkedin (sourcing), Relout’s Talent Pool, and external partners.

Relout’s Approach

Given the market realities, RELOUT focused on building a high-conviction hiring process centered around:

  • attracting candidates aligned with startup dynamics and long-term value creation,
  • positioning the opportunity through a strong product and vision narrative,
  • keeping the recruitment cycle lean, fast, and decision-oriented,
  • maintaining founder-level alignment at every stage of the hiring journey.

Outcome

In total, five recruitment processes were completed as part of this collaboration.

The result was a significantly more mature recruitment process – shifting from informal relationship-based hiring toward a structured, scalable talent acquisition model.

More importantly, Beryboo gained not only access to qualified candidates, but also a clearer hiring strategy, stronger founder positioning in recruitment conversations, and a partnership model built around flexibility, trust, and long-term growth enablement.
