In September 2025, we organized a workation and workshop for our fully remote software development teams working for a Swedish client. The main goals were integration, team building, and focused collaboration.

Team-as-a-Service (TaaS): Our Focus on Real Connection

At Relout, we see in-person meetings as an important part of our Team-as-a-Service (TaaS) model. Remote work gives flexibility, but meeting in person helps people connect, align, and build trust. It is especially valuable for our teams spread across different parts of Poland. These meetings also help new members integrate faster and understand the company culture better.

Well-Planned and Team-Driven

Getting approval from the client, we managed the entire event. Our operations team handled all logistics to make the event efficient and productive. What made it special was that it started as a bottom-up initiative from the teams themselves. Such activities are supported by a per-employee budget dedicated to integration and team-building.

HR Insights: Integration Boosts Performance

The impact of bringing people together was clear and measurable:

  1. Higher Productivity: Teams reported completing in one day what would usually take 3 weeks. The focused setup and direct communication made a huge difference.
  2. Improved Communication: Meeting in person helped people communicate more easily and clearly. This led to smoother cooperation and fewer misunderstandings.
  3. Faster Delivery: When teams are well-connected, they work faster and make decisions quicker. Our client benefits from this stronger collaboration without having to handle the organization themselves.

Working together in one place proved again how much real contact helps remote teams perform better!

The workation took place in the scenic EveRest Apartamenty in Szczyrk.
