We don’t wait for challenges to face them – we invest in prevention.
This past week our team lead held a voluntary meetup in Gdańsk for one of our new five person teams. The team is young and now faces a transition because the current lead is moving to a new role and a new hire will take over.

Our goal was simple: help the team bond faster and talk honestly about the coming changes so they feel supported and confident. Their current lead will still be a steady resource, even in the new role.
Why are live meetups so important to us?
These kinds of strategic meetups are the rule for us, not the exception. Why? Because we believe a stable, change-ready team is our greatest asset, guaranteeing the success of your projects. And nothing builds collaboration like time spent together, especially in international work where we need to create strong bonds across distance.

Another example: Warsaw Workshop
Two packed days in Warsaw offer another example. Our Relout team met with key client stakeholders for hands-on workshops at the Mercure Grand Hotel. We not only caught up, but also aligned on the technical priorities and strategic goals of our Swedish client. With experts from both sides – including one flying in internationally – we made fast progress, face to face.

Why This Matters for Our Clients
In our Talent-as-a-Service (TaaS) model, we believe in-person work creates real collaboration. For the second year in a row, this team had 100% attendance at our workshop – this is the impact of working side by side.
But there is a bigger point. Few companies see how important it is to bring remote teams together on purpose in an offline setting. This approach helps to:
- It supports team building and helps reduce attrition. Companies with strong employee engagement, which includes investing in relationships and team cohesion, see reduction in turnover. We invest in relationships to build loyalty.
- It builds a culture of feedback and transparency. Remote work can hide the natural needs and quick talks that happen in face to face meetings. We trust live contact because we want openness, which leads to better efficiency.
- Meets the Need for Belonging. In-person integrations satisfy the core human need for affiliation. By meeting in person, we build ‘social capital’ – we don’t want to let down the people we’ve shared a meal with. This significantly increases accountability and engagement. According to research, 78% of remote teams experience communication gaps, and 71% struggle with team cohesion – we are unapologetically aiming to be in the remaining 20-30%.
Building Relationships Over Pierogis
What would be a visit to Poland without pierogis? We had dinner at Gościniec Polskie Pierogi followed by some competitive fun at Spin City (bowling, darts, and billiards). These integrations are super important for remote teams, as they help us unify, build trust, and understand each other better.
Relout handles all logistics: from travel to hotels, and covers upfront costs – so the team can focus on delivery, not admin. For any of this to make sense, we have to invest in strong partnerships that deliver results.

Conclusion
The Investment: Fully Self-Funded.
In both instances (the Gdańsk meetup and the Warsaw workshops), we at Relout covered the full costs. In Gdańsk, we paid for the logistics – including dinner at Piwnica Rajców and drinks at Under Beer. In Warsaw, we covered everything from flights to accommodation. We do this because strong relationships forged early are the highest-return investment we can make.
We don’t outsource our team building. We fund, coordinate, and prioritize it.
If you need a stable, high-trust team ready to handle change, you need Relout.
Let’s discuss how our unapologetic commitment to our talent and relationships can secure your projects and deliver the stability you need.
