On the first weekend of August we had the chance to meet almost the whole team at the third Relout meetup. This time we chose the north of Poland, the beautiful Tri-City.

On Friday evening we checked into Hotel Oliwski in Gdańsk and right away went to Sopot for dinner at “Browar Miejski.” After a big meal with a few beers, we set out to explore Sopot. 🙂

We walked along the famous “Monciak,” the most famous promenade in Sopot. We even reached the beach, where for a while we admired the dark Baltic Sea lit by the city lights. Finally, we ended up in the “Kongo” pub, where friendly bartenders helped us try many kinds of drinks. The highlight of the night was a club, where we partied until morning.

Saturday morning was tough, but full of funny memories from the night before. We started the day with an intro session in the conference room, where Gerard, Ewelina, and Kacper presented the team with plans for Relout’s future and summed up the last half year. We also got some company gadgets, including Relout beer 🙂

After the meeting we went to the “Classic” restaurant in Gdańsk for American food, to get some energy for the more active part of the day.

After lunch and a short power nap, we went by bus to the first attraction: laser paintball. In a three-level arena we played three intense games, which helped the team sweat out the last toxins from the night before. 😀 The undisputed king of paintball was Marek – he took down opponents like a born sniper, and hitting him was almost impossible.

After paintball we went to the go-kart track, where the Relout Grand Prix 2023 took place. After an exciting tournament, the winner was our newest team member – Kacper. 🙂 Kacper, may this trophy proudly stand in your home display case.

In the evening, we returned to the hotel, but the day was not over! After a short rest, we went to the center of Gdańsk. After a delicious dinner we tried a bit of gambling and played some poker games with a professional dealer with 16 years of experience.

The evening ended with a club visit, a walk around the city, and sitting together in one of Gdańsk’s pubs.

To sum up: an intense trip, with lots of fun and team bonding. Now we’re just counting the days until the next meetup!
